Habitat For Humanity Las Vegas, is excited to be the official "Charity Of Choice" for The Indie Music Fest, on: May 21, 2011, to be held at: Sunset Park in Las Vegas. This unique annual grassroots music festival is designed to expose the unsigned indie artist, writer and musician with a focus this year, on our environment. Black Mountain and Habitat For Humanity, are working together to keep the event as environmentally friendly as possible! All water stations throughout the 5K, will be using recyclable paper cups, with NO plastic bottle usage. (The cup water holders used will be recycled)
To kick off the event, one of many eco-friendly events is the "Indie Fest 5K Run & 1K Walk" to benefit Habitat For Humanity, Las Vegas. All proceeds will be used to help construct EnergyStar and WaterSmart new homes for low income working families in Clark County, Nevada.
