Open to USA residents residing in both East and west Coast areas. All artists MUST be unsigned. You are not eligible if your are represented. If you are accepted and are signed prior to your performance at the event, it is your sole responsibility to notify us. We will conduct final checks on each chosen artist, within one week of the event date.Those artists found to be represented, will be immediately disqualified. (Void where prohibited)
Those younger than 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, 21 or older. Artists will be accepted in the genres of: Hip Hop, R&B, Urban, Rock, Pop and Alternative.
Entry Procedure
Beginning: June 30, 2011, we will begin accepting submissions for the 2012 event. A Standard Press Kit consisting of: either a CD or DVD or Video, a $10.00 Entry Fee, a Bio and Photo of the artist, must be received no later than: March 31, 2012 to be eligible. You will be contacted regardless of our decision. **It is the sole responsibility of all bands, to provide their own transportation to and from the competition** Any submissions received postmarked, later than March 31st, will be returned unopened. Bands do not have to presale tickets as a requirement to perform at the event. (Entry fees are non-refundable and a portion of entry fee proceeds, will be donated to a local charity the day of the event) Black Mountain Productions Inc., is not responsible for any personal or financial sacrifice the participants may have to endure, as part of their performance and participation at the event. *Bands will NOT be paid for their performances at the IMF competition showcase*
Each selected band that will be performing on the "2012 Indie Music Fest" stage will receive (which includes, but not limited to) Major Promotion and Advertising with: Radio, Newspaper, Magazine, Internet with national coverage, E-Blasts, Viral Promotion (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace) Street Teams, Posters, Flyers, Press Release, Newsletters, Websites and much more.
All participating bands will be required to complete and sign any and all Band Waivers and any other Performance agreements, prior to their actual stage performance at the event. (Black Mountain Productions Inc., reserves the right to make any and all changes to the: Artist Rules And Regulations, Performance times, Entertainment, Band line-ups, Event Times, Vendors, The Venue Location, any and all Activities, Awards & Prizes, Advertising and Promotion, etc., at any time without notice)
Length of Performance
Band performances may be no longer than 25 minutes maximum. (Times may vary)
VIP Showcase Review
A confirmed team of indie music industry VIP's will be at the event, (in addition to the music industry judges) for the purpose of bands to showcase their talents, as they attempt to elevate their careers to the next level. (A VIP listing will be posted on the website and we will keep on file their actual confirmed RSVP's)
Dedicated Artist Merchandising Area
A specific area has been created for each artist to sell, market and promote their own merchandise, as well as network their talents to music industry professionals at the event. All proceeds received, will be 100% retained by those participating bands. Any contacts that are made are also, specifically between the interested party and the artist. (Black Mountain does not have any control, authority or interest, with any potential contracts or other potential opportunities, offered, implied or secured at the event, as may be negotiated between the artist and the interested parties)
Special Travel Accommodations
Black Mountain has agreed to provide all out-of-town bands, two nights of hotel/motel room accommodations for their band/group (Up to 5 band members *Additional information will be provided shortly), at the hotel of choice by Black Mountain Productions. Black Mountain agrees to cover the room accommodations only. This does not cover in-room or other food service charged to the room, telephone calls, or any other miscellaneous charges. No other hotel/motel accommodations in the state of Nevada will be paid.
Special Prizes/Awards And Activities Winners receive an artist development/music resource package designed to further assist with their careers. Winners (one Urban, Hip Hop or R&B and one Rock, Pop or Alternative) will each receive a prize package valued at $45,000+, which includes but is not limited to: artist development opportunities with experts, music production, inclusion in Urban Culture Magazines Radio and TV programming, social network promotion (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) music video production, mastering, subscriptions to professional music publications, vocal coaching services, studio rehearsal and recording time with discounts, press release services, financial and legal consultation services, professional photography sessions, gear, endorsements, 24 month pre-marketing and management, publishing and recording opportunities and so much more!

Music Accessories And Accompaniment
All artists are required to provide their own music equipment, musicians, any special equipment and accompaniment needs. (A basic backline will be provided and a list of the equipment provided in the backline will be posted shortly)
Code Of Conduct
Bands and accompanying personnel are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner at all times whilst on the event premises. Bands and accompanying personnel are expected to cooperate with the event organizers and venue at all times, any verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated. (Event organizers and venue includes all staff i.e. Lock & Load management, sound and lighting engineers, stage crew, venue staff, bar staff and security staff). Offenders will be ejected from the premises and any damage incurred or injury inflicted will be met with maximum penalty or dealt with by the law accordingly.
Breaches of the venue security and health & safety regulations will not be tolerated and may lead to disqualification. The event organizers reserve the right to disqualify any band that is observed to be behaving in an uncompetitive or inappropriate manner. This also includes online etiquette and internet interaction with both the website and its patrons.
