Those of you familiar with the Urban Network over the last decade may know Arthur Mitchell as the organization’s Vice President of Business Development. Now, Arthur, along with Urban Network Digital partners Tosha Thomas, Lin Woods and Harold Whaley, recently launched a reformatted version of the long-running publication, called Urban Network Digital. In addition, Arthur continues to concentrate heavily on his own marketing and consulting firm, Webb Marketing.
“It’s certainly a balancing act, working day to day on the company built by Miller London, and working closely with Tosha Thomas and Lin Woods,” says Arthur. “I am working on some exciting projects in both music and other facets of the entertainment industry. I am a big fan of the digital world and over the years under the tutelage of Harold Whaley, I have become pretty digital-savvy.”
Webb Marketing along with Urban Network Digital controls a database of 1 million opt-in subscribers and has access to the data of 21 million buyers of ringtones, MP3s, digital downloads, and CD buyers; including access to 3 million Hispanics, 10 million African Americans, and 10 million cell phone numbers. The firm also has access to the data of 3 million Gospel music fans. Webb Marketing also consults Amalgamation Magazine and provides the burgeoning publication with access to its growing database.

Webb Marketing is proud to announce that it is handling marketing duties for the company Spunlive, which promises to be a competitive force in the social media world. Spunlive is slated to launch in the summer. Arthur is also a consultant for the United Athletes Foundation, headed up by former NFL player Reggie Howard and current NFL star Ray Lewis. Arthur is excited about trying his hand in the television field acting as consultant for the soon to-be-released reality show, “Wives of Favor,” produced by his client of many years, Marble Ice Entertainment.
“One of my favorite pet projects is working with my wife on her new fashion line of hats called DWM (abbreviations for her name, Deborah Webb Mitchell). On the music side, we have some exciting projects coming out in 2011 and 2012. I will be releasing projects on rap artist King Trick and the New Breedz, Rap & Roll band Property Six, Pop artist Therese Marie and Metal band Thunder Clash. We are releasing what I call my Super Group, a 17 member Rap, Rock and Funk group in early 2012. I’m also looking to host a talent contest called “Best of the West,” in conjunction with Marble Ice Entertainment. Proceeds from the contest will be directed to the Hope Scholarship Fund, assisting underprivileged students with money for college.”
